Calculate Finance Charge/Aging window
This topic is under construction. It may be incomplete and is subject to change.
Purpose
Use this window to complete the finance charge and aging calculations for your invoices and to calculate aging on those accounts that are established with a minimum payment due as opposed to the full outstanding invoice balance.
Note: Run Calculate Finance Charge/Aging once a month, prior to printing statements.
To access this window
Complete one of the following to access this window.
- On the Modules menu, point to Customer and click Calculate Finance Charge/Aging.
- Use the keyboard shortcut Alt, M, C, l.

Item descriptions
Fields and boxes
| Item | Description |

| Last Statement Date | This is the date statements were last printed and cannot be changed. It is determined by system variable LastStatement. |
| Last Finance Charge Calculation | This is the date finance charges were last calculated and cannot be changed. It is determined by system variable LastFinanceCharge. |
| Finance Charge Calculation Date | Enter a date to compare with the invoice date and term to determine if the term has been exceeded. The finance charges will be accounted for in general ledger on the calculation date. This box defaults to the system date of the workstation. |

Options for creating finance charges
|
Select an option to either force finance charges to be a minimum amount or to ignore finance charges less than a certain amount. |
| (amount) | Enter an amount here based on your finance charge selection; either the minimum amount to use for finance charges (if they would otherwise be less) or an amount AIMsi will use to determine if finance charges less than that should be ignored. |
| Notes to Appear on Finance Charge Invoice |
Enter any notes you want to include on finance charges. Press F4 on your keyboard to automatically add the date, time, and your user name to the note. |
